Maine Governor Paul LePage has thanked the organizers of the Maine Science Festival for their work in making the Inaugural festival this weekend a reality. Almost three years in the planning, the MSF team has been put together a full program for all ages, with more than 45 events scheduled for the weekend, with all but the headliner free. Governor LePage sent the MSF a letter on March 17th, thanking them for showcasing the science around Maine:
To the Organizers of the Maine Science Festival: I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work to put together this festival celebrating the science happening in Maine every day. With over 45 events and more than 90 partners from around the state, I know that the attendees of the Festival will gain a unique perspective of Maine’s exciting place in the world of science and technology. From the groundbreaking engineering work being done next-door at UMaine, to exciting medical research happening in Bar Harbor, and thousands of other examples around the state, in Maine, science is truly all around us. Thank you again for your work and congratulations on the first of what I hope will be many annual Maine Science Festivals! Sincerely, Paul R LePage
With only 3 days left until the inaugural Maine Science Festival kicks off, our advice to you is to download the schedule, purchase your tickets to our main headliner event with Pixar Scientist Anthony DeRose and get ready for a science filled weekend! #scienceiseverywhere
