A bit of info about Field Trip Day:

Each year we host approximately 350 7th & 8th graders from schools throughout Maine. The programming they will see is explicitly designed for this age group, with the purpose of showing the breadth and depth of science in Maine, and the different educational and workforce pathways that use that science.

 

We will contact you in early December to confirm your school's acceptance and sign-up. Additionally, in January, we will provide details about the programming, allowing educators to plan lessons accordingly.

The Field Trip Day is provided free of charge to schools, thanks to our sponsors. Schools must commit to attending for the whole time (9:30am-12:30pm).  In keeping with our mission to inspire students in all of Maine, priority will be given to schools who have never attended the festival or who have not attended in recent years and since our capacity is capped at 350, groups larger than 50 are harder to accommodate.
