The 2019 Maine Science Festival headliner: Science Vs
The Maine Science Festival is thrilled to announce the 2019 headliner for the 5th Annual Maine Science Festival: a live show from the team that produces Science Vs.
There are a lot of strong opinions, but then there’s SCIENCE. Science Vs takes on fads, trends, and the internet mob to find out what’s fact, what’s not, and what’s somewhere in between. Tackling everything from detox teas, to gun control, the ketogenic diet, to nuclear war – Science Vs is your team of friendly fact checkers that will blow up your firmly held opinions and replace them with science.
This show is brilliant and dead serious about getting to the bottom of its hypotheses. —The Atlantic
Host/reporter Wendy Zukerman and producer Kaitlyn Sawrey are relentless in finding out what science can really tell us about issues ranging from gun control to detox teas to nuclear war. Best of all, they do it in a way that takes the science seriously and makes it understandable for anyone who listens. Zukerman and Sawrey will follow their show with a moderated Q&A with the audience.
Science Vs is Saturday, March 16, 2018, at 7:30pm, at The Gracie Theatre. Tickets are on sale now via Eventbrite. In keeping with MSF’s mission to keep the festival as accessible as possible, the tickets are $10/students and $17/public in advance, with a $5 increase at the door.
The 5th Annual Maine Science Festival will take place March 13-17, 2019, in Bangor, with the return of MSF Showcase events, and workshops, hands-on activities, forums, presentations, films, and exhibits. As in past years, festival goers can expect the intersection of science, art and humanities throughout the programming.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_btn title=”Buy tickets” color=”purple” size=”lg” align=”center” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-check-circle” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eventbrite.com%2Fe%2Fscience-vs-2019-msf-headliner-tickets-50690851702||target:%20_blank” add_icon=”true”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
