Rory works with NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service in Orono, Maine to recover endangered Atlantic salmon populations. His recent areas of focus include developing and implementing monitoring strategies for the Penobscot River Restoration Project. Rory has been a member of the U.S. delegation to the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization (NASCO) since 2006. He has a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine and a M.S. in Water Resources from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. Prior to returning to Maine in 2002, he worked for the National Marine Fisheries Service in Washington State on Pacific salmon recovery efforts. He lives in Garland, Maine with his wife, Alyson, and their two boys.
