We wanted to share some of the basics for this year’s MSF – sort of a who-what-when-where information page.
- March 13th-17th, Bangor ME, with more than 70+ events and activities for all ages. Included in the types of events/activities: forums, hands-on activities, workshops, exhibits, films. All events other than the headliner are free of charge. Headliner tickets (Science VS UFOs) are $10/students, $17 general in advance with an increase to $15/$22 at the door.
- Some events have space limitations and require sign-ups. Signups will be via EventBrite (with links on our website and through Facebook). All other MSF events (other than the headliner) are first-come, first-served.
- On Saturday, March 16th, there will be events both at the Cross Insurance Center and at locations throughout Downtown Bangor. On all other days of the MSF, the events will be Downtown.
- The Full MSF schedule is available in a few different ways right now: At-A-Glance and printer-ready. We’ll also have an app with the schedule – stay tuned!
We do have one change from past years: for the first time we are asking festival goers to please consider making a $5 donation when they attend the MSF. As a point of context, many science festivals around the country charge anywhere from $10-30 for just one event like Tech Night or 5 Minute Genius. This is NOT a requirement, but it will help us insure that the model we’ve put in place will be able to continue.
