2020 MSF Potential Presenters:

Hands-on activities (Exploration Station) is the most popular MSF event, with many thousands of festival goers attending throughout the day (Saturday, March 21st) and the largest audience raage for the entire festival; you will often go right from kids to adults and back again.

Our programming team will go through the submittals and the programming will be set up based on their recommendations. The programming team will make their judgments based on a number of different factors, including: type of science/math, type of event, audience, innovative approaches happening in Maine, revealing hidden secrets, diversity of programming from past years, and logistically what we can make work.

If you have presented in the past: In order to ensure the viability of the MSF, your activity MUST BE DIFFERENT than what you have presented in at least the past three years. If you have any questions about this, please email  participate@mainesciencefestival.org.

Audience, information: Exploration Station a MSF Showcase event and is open to all ages. It will take place on Saturday, March 21st from 9:00am-4:00pm at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. For this session, you need to have an activity where festival goers can walk up and dive into the science you’re presenting. The set up is similar to a vendor space at a conference, and the space for hands-on partners is two 8-foot tables. Activities should be designed to engage all ages (from 4 to 94).

We expect to have the programming finalized by January 2020.

The 6th Maine Science Festival is March 18-22nd, 2020.
