Science Writing 101
Saturday, March 16; 11:30am-1:30pm
Cross Center Meeting Room 2
Cross Insurance Center, 515 Main Street
Many scientists find it challenging and time-consuming to communicate in clear, simple terms with the average person, while many journalists don’t have the interest (or time) to fully understand difficult scientific concepts well enough to report a science story in a general interest publication. We live in a time where data matter and keeping science accessible in the public eye is essential. In this workshop, Ret Talbot will lead participants through about reporting a science story in a way that is both clear and compelling.
