As of October 10, 2018: The Friday Field Trip Day is full!
Once again, the Maine Science Festival is hosting a Friday Field Trip Day: Friday, March 16th, 2018 from 8:30am-12:00pm, at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Middle schools students (from schools and those who are home-schooled), are invited to a day of programming just for you. There is no-cost to attend the Field Trip Day, thanks to our sponsors, but attendees must commit to attending for the whole time. The Field Trip Day programming has been created by our partners strictly for middle school audiences (or ages 10-14); all students attending must meet this age requirement.
In a change from past year’s, we are shortening the length of each session outside of the hands-on time (Cool Science) and will concentrate on more hands-on/interactive experiences – more of a workshop feel. As a result, we will almost certainly have to limit attendance to no more than 800 students (it has been 1000 in the past). In keeping with our mission to inspire students in all of Maine, sign-up priority will be given to schools/homeschool groups who have never attended the festival.

Thank you so much for such an educational and engaging field trip! My students and I really enjoyed the activities and presentations. Thank you so much for organizing this trip and making it free.

Thank you! We had a wonderful time, it was a great learning experience for everyone – even our kiddos who tend to be a bit passive about learning. Awesome program.
