Charlie Hankin is a writer/performer, cartoonist, and animator. Charlie has published dozens of cartoons in The New Yorker magazine since his work first started appearing there in 2013. He has also created animations for Comedy Central, and drawn custom cartoons for as wide-ranging companies as AMC Networks, GE and Captured Tracks.
As half of the sketch duo and filmmaking team Good Cop Great Cop, Charlie has co-written television scripts for TBS and Comedy Central, and created content for MTV and Adult Swim. Good Cop Great Cop’s self-titled webseries has been featured on The Huffington Post, Nerdist, The Onion A.V. Club, and was an official selection at the New York Television Festival. The duo’s Comedy Central webseries New Timers has received praise in GQ, The Hollywood Reporter, and Splitsider.
In addition to working in comedy and entertainment, Charlie has a background in music and mathematics. As a touring drummer, he has supported Anamanaguchi (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game), among other bands. Charlie graduated from NYU with an interdisciplinary degree in mathematics and art, and has experience teaching math and physics at all levels. He lives in New York City.
